DISCLAIMER: I never give verbal directions to my house because this page does a far better job than I ever could. People who try to visit me using directions given to them verbally or by trying to memorize this page usually get lost!!! DO NOT try to get to my house without printing out this page unless you have been here before. Even if you do get lost, you can always call the gatehouse at (416) 298-0441 and they will give you directions.
If you plan to take the bus, you may use any York Mills 95 route except the "E". Actually you can take the E too but will need to walk to Mondeo since it only stops at Kennedy and Birchmount (walk is <5 min each). Timings for this route, can be found at the TTC site. If you will be coming from the North or South, look up the Birchmount 17 or Kennedy 43 routes. When taking the 17 bus, get off at Florina Drive (first street north of Ellesmere) and walk East until you get to Mondeo. Walk South to the gatehouse and refer to the "Welcome to Mondeo!" section below. When taking the 43 bus, get off at Ellesmere Road and walk West until you get to Mondeo. Refer to the "Welcome to Mondeo!" section below.
When taking the 401, watch for the Warden exit if you are coming from the West and the Kennedy exit if coming from the East.
Go South to Ellesmere Road.
Turn right so you are going West on Ellesmere Road.
Turn right onto Mondeo Drive (first set of lights). If you prefer, you can go to this MapQuest link and click on "Directions To" instead of continuing to read this page.
Go South to Ellesmere Road. Be careful when you get there! This intersection has gained notoriety as the most dangerous in the city.
Turn left so you are going East on Ellesmere Road.
Turn left onto Mondeo Drive (first set of lights after Birchmount).

Individual homes make up this neighbourhood today.
If you have trouble while in the community, roll down your window and ask someone to direct you to the parking on the west side of the church. However, you should have no trouble if you follow these steps:
Go North up Mondeo Drive and turn right at the Gatehouse (Point "A" on above map).
Make sure you are in the left lane when you stop beside the Gatehouse window. Tell the guard you are there to see Dave Zuzarte in Unit 68. They will issue you a parking permit (see step 4 below).
The guard will wave you through the gate. Turn right and go South (i.e. back toward Ellesmere) down the Avanti Pathway until you get to Point "B". Incidentally, many have been perplexed by the bizarre numbering scheme along the west side of the Avanti Pathway. It is done this way because the entrances for the units on the West side of the building are located on the East side.
Pedestrians can skip this step! If
my garage, driveway and guest parking (in front of the church) are
already full, you can try to find space on similar lots in various
locations around the community. Please note the following bylaw for
our community:
"Day Time Permits for Visitors
As
directed by the Shared Facilities Committee, effective January 29,
2002, visitors are required to obtain permits for parking in visitor
parking spaces, both in the daytime and at night. Vehicles found
parking in visitor parking spaces without a valid permit would be
tagged or towed at owner's expense. Residents' vehicles are not
allowed to park in visitor parking and will be tagged or towed at
owner's expense."
Walk across the road to Unit 68 (Point "C"). DO NOT KNOCK. I am usually on the third floor so it is very likely I will not hear you. Please ring the doorbell and wait 30 seconds. Ring again as I am sometimes indisposed.

Please take off your shoes and hang your coats on the knobs provided on the right at the end of the hall.
Kindly refrain from touching the walls in such a way as to leave scuff marks.
During the winter months, you are well advised to bring a sweater or cardigan when visiting. I have a rather high tolerance for cold temperatures which some male guests and almost all female guests find unsettling. To be more specific, the maximum temperature in my house during the winter months will be in the high teens. From about June to August, it may be a little warm in deference to the government's urging that citizens cut back on air conditioner use.
The top floor is generally off limits unless accompanied by myself.
When using the washroom, please do not engage in the ridiculous and wasteful practice of lining the seat with toilet paper. Don't worry, I try to adhere to the highest hygienic standards possible. Thanks!
When finished with your dishes and cutlery, please stack them neatly on the counter in front of the breadmaker in the kitchen. Please do NOT put them in the sink or dishwasher.
Recycling: Cans and containers go in the Blue Bin, paper products go in the Grey Bin and plastic bags go in the box on the floor by the microwave.
When on the deck, please note that one of the green metal chairs is damaged which is why it is used to weigh down the BBQ cover. It is safe to sit on as long as the back is resting against a wall. These chairs are usually inside during the winter months.
